Q: How much does Teen Service Week cost?
A: $150, but TSW will never turn a teenager away because they cannot afford the week.

Q: When is the application due?
A: June 1st, 2011. After this date please contact us for availability.

Q: When is TSW?
A: June 19-25, 2011.

Q: Where will we stay?
A: Maria High School located at 6727 S. California Ave. Chicago, IL 60629.

Q: Who goes on Teen Service Week?
A: Any teenager that has completed one year of high school and is interested in making a difference in the community.

Q: What do we do?
A: Service, games, prayer, meet new people, help the needy, make friends, scrub floors, cook food, play with children, learn about justice issues, give care and attention to abandoned pets, pass out food from a bread truck, visit the elderly, work in a community garden and lots of other tasks that broaden the heart.

Q: What about food?
A: We eat as a community for breakfast and dinner in the cafeteria of Maria High School. Lunch will be eaten on site and is prepared the day before including sandwiches, snacks and fruit. A volunteer homesite cook stays during the week and prepares all the meals. Examples of meals include: taco night, baked-potato bar and pasta.
