Indirect Service
Level II service is a more abstract, broader type of service that aims to instill in the retreatants the reasons for service. It's very possible for a person to walk away from a service site and have grown very little simply because they don't know why they are working.
By putting retreatants in situations where they learn about the nature of service and all of the energy it takes to make service possible, they gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of the world around them and the work they do in it.
